The first official Farm Camp was held at Ladybug Farms with more to come! Five Homeschooled Campers ages 6-12 spent three mornings harvesting okra, tomatoes, carrots and potatoes; planting strawberries; cracking black walnuts, learning to drive a tractor; collecting eggs from chickens; caring for donkeys and then concluded each day with a group prepared farm fresh lunch highlighting each days harvest. Farm Camp is offered on Mondays through Fridays from 9-1 and includes a farm fresh lunch. Camp is limited to 6 kids (with a parent on site) or individual families. $50/camper; contact about family rate. At the conclusion of Day Three Farm Camper Mom Michelle Trotter (a former Montessori teacher) said "we received an entire years worth of lessons plans from three days at your farm". WOW!
